diagnosed # 14 in a series
Greetings to all.It seems that alot has been happening since my last post.
On Feburary 10 2007, yours truely turned 63 years young. It was probably one of my most memorable birthdays ever.My wife,Dickie,my daughter Christie and one of our good friends,Stacy Towery[also a talented Harley rider]surprised me on the night of my birthday with a beautiful bound book with letters to me from family and friends.Needless tosay I sat in my recliner for about an hour reading the letters and wiping tears from my eyes.My heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated. It is a gift I will cherish forever.
On Tues of this week 02/20/07 I underwent new scans at St Thomas,CT,Bone and chest.Good news!No new growth of the cancer.Prayer is wonderful!Yea God!My continued thanks to everyone for their prayers. Please continue to keep all people who are suffering from disease,as well as myself,in your prayers.
On a sadder note, please keep the family of John Hubbuck, who have been friends of our family for many years, in your thoughts and prayers.John passed away this week from cancer.I had the honor of spending some time with John at his home two weeks ago.In spite of his illness he inspired me with his positive attitude, sence of humor, and his deep faith in God. We’ll miss you John.
One finial note as I close today has to do with forgiveness. It seem that,as we go thorough life and come into contact with other cohabitants of our planet, not every one is always going to get along. If you have someone in your past, that mayby you had a major disagreement with, you might consider sending them a hand written letter of apology.During one of my recent reflective times I kept remembering an individual that I had unplesent words with a couple of years ago.I dont know who was right or who was wrong, but none the less I sent him an apology note.I must say,I felt better.Hopefully he will forgive me.
I hope everyone has a safe,fun weekend.God Bless,Hal
