Saddness
As I write this short blog I am saddened as I watch this great country of ours rapidly being taken down the road of socialism. As I follow the latest attempt to destroy our country, socialized health care,I also fear and am sad for the 1000s of seniors who, when diagonsed with a termanal disease will be removed from drugs to prolong their lives so they will just go ahead and die.But not to fear, big brother will have a counsler to provide you with information on how to end your own life.Another provision is the abortion on demand, paid for by our tax dollars. This is not to even mention the rationing and tremendous cost of coverage for all illegal people in our country.
I am also saddened by the cap and trade bill that will destroy jobs as well as entire industries,IE real estate.I encourage everyone to google this bill.Another thing that saddens me is the apathy of the american people.Alarge percentage dont know what is going on in this great country.Another sad event in America is the lack of respect our military receives, especially from the U.S.president when he came forth and wanted our brave military men and women to pay for their own health care.On a more positive note however,on a recent flight on Southwest Airlines there were two young marines on board and our flight attendent recognized them on the intercom at which time the entire plane burst into thunderest applause.l just sat there with tears in my eyes with pride.Another sad event has been all the stimulus money spent to very little in return and to think that the goverment doesn’t even know where 6 billion of it has gone.My 2 precious grandsons will be paying for this for their entire lifes and they are only 2 and 4.
Another sad aspect of our “great new society”is the deamonizing of the rich.Who provides the jobs?Who helps the less fortunate? Who in many cases works 80 hour weeks to realize the American dream.(I did for over 25 years)I was very blessed to have had the opportunity,as have many others,to build a good business, that has now been handed over to one of my daughters, who has made it even more successful. However with the way our country is headed will small family businesses be able to survive.I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday who employes over 400 people part time as well as full time mostly in their 20s,He told me it will cost him approx 300000.00 additional each year if he doesn’t provide health care to each of them.
Oh well!!!
In closing let me urge each of you to pray for our country and its leaders.Even though our president has said that we are no longer a Christian nation I feel that our forefathers would take issue with him.
May God be with each of you.
