Eagles vs.Chickens
The Eagle can see about 20 times further than a chicken. If you stop and think about it ,a chicken is always looking down and just pecking their way thorough life ,While the Eagle on the other hand is always looking ahead and setting their goals.
How many of us are like that?
In life I have found that the more we look ahead the happier we are and the less frustrated we become.
I remember a number of years ago when I had just started buying rental properties ,I received a call from one of my tenants that they heard water running. The tempature was hovering around 20 degreers so I assumed I had a broken pipe ,which I did!!Upon arriving at the property ,I proceeded to crawl under the house to acces the damage. As I ventured further into the abiss I heard hissing noises. As I lay there ,with water dripping down my back,I shone my flashlight around the crawl space in an effort to determine the orgin of the hissing. As I looked more closely I saw numerous sets of little eyes staring back at me from the rat colony.I guess there were 20 - 30 rats watching the excitement.
As I lay there I could have been a chicken and bemoned the fact that I was where I was.Fortunately I chose to be an eagle and looked ahead at how great the future was going to be when I would have a crew that would do the work.
Weather we are facing finiancial, medical or emotional challanges I encourage each of you to think like the Eagle.
In closing I ask that you pray for all those less fortunate than we.
God Bless
Hal

OK, I just hung up the phone from Hal and he’s got a new computer…..and his latest post went into “cyberspace” yesterday just as he tried to post!
So Hal, you’ve got my curiosity going with this “Eagles vs. Chickens”, look forward to reading your post soon! Love to you and Dickie:)
Thank you for setting the record straight. I hope to always be an eagle although I’m thankful for chickens and the work they do! Cindy
Oh, you heed you’re own advice and keep looking ahead! My your focus stay strong like the eye of an eagle, and may your amazing spirit continue to soar. However, if the beauty of the season gets to be to much and you’re a bit cabin feverish…you can always do the chicken dance and just cluck!
Please let me know if we can help in anyway.
Blessings and love,
Cindy
